Hey hey, folks, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit here! It’s time for a quick Hydra Social update! And for those of you who’re new or just plain missed the first big announcement, Project Hydra Social is a penpal initiative started by the S.O.S. Brigade and organized by yours truly. All the cool kids are into it. I have here, in my hand, a new list of participants and their pals. Some of the penpals left over the past two months, but I’ve found a couple of wonderful replacements for ‘m, so partners, have no fear!

I am not bluffing. Don’t think I won’t hunt you down, because I will. You’ll never see me coming, either. You won’t know I’m hassling you until it’s too late. Besides, you are hurting your pal’s feelings. Shame on you.

I regretfully send my apologies on behalf of those afflicted. However, at the same time, I do wonder what the point of such an endeavour is to begin with.

Notably, does a lack of response constitute a failure to be "in touch" with a penpal?

The point is to make friends and come out of your shell! And yeah, not responding is pretty much the same thing as not getting in touch. It means you got a message, but ignored it for some reason and that's just rude.
